The Erie Police Services & Municipal Court is designed as a modern, state-of-the-art facility to serve the community and fit within the existing character of the Town of Erie.

The entry is cupped with a large, curved wall that identifies the presence of a civic building. A glass cube protrudes through the curved wall and defines the primary lobby space. The public lobby and court area of the building consist of a courtroom, public restrooms, seating area, an entry vestibule doubling as a refuge space, and countertop service access to both the Records Department and the County Clerk.

The southeast corner which looks out on the primary thoroughfare is anchored by the Civic Court. The court’s large overhanging roof and timber and steel detailing identify this building as a place of importance that has grown out of the character and history of the town of Erie.
